Earthed is an aromatic anointing oil for coming back to ground, for moments of travel, transition, overwhelm, or whenever life has left us feeling scattered and unmoored. Loamy, warm, and ancient, the blend carries the unmistakable scent of damp soil after rain, drawing awareness toward the body and the living ground beneath us.
Mitti Attar is traditionally distilled from baked earth, capturing the extraordinary aroma released when rain first meets dry soil. There is something almost primordial in its scent—a sensory remembrance of our belonging to the Earth and the ground that continually holds us. Patchouli (Pogostemon cablin) deepens this earthy terrain with its rich, dark, rooted aroma, lending warmth and weight to the blend. Together, they create the feeling of returning to the ground after having been far away: rain meeting soil, body meeting Earth, presence returning to place.
THE RITUAL
Anoint the heart center and wrists, then bring the wrists toward the nose and breathe slowly. Feel the weight of the body and notice where you are making contact with the ground beneath you. All nine anointing points may also be used as part of a fuller practice. Reach for Earth after travel, during periods of transition or overwhelm, or whenever you need the simple ritual of remembering where you are and returning to the ground that holds you.
