It’s hard to list all the amazing qualities of calendula and st. john’s wort when applied topically. This infused oil contains a double extraction of resinous calendula flowers that may promote skin healing, soothing, cell turn over, and firmness while adding antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antibacterial and sun-protection properties.

The fresh and careful infusion of fresh saint john’s wort flowers into an oil extracts the hypericin from the plant and turns the oil bright carnelian red. This plant gets a lot of attention for its mood benefits when taken internally, but it has its own and separate virtues when applied topically. Like calendula it may also provide anti inflammatory and healing abilities and could potentially aid in pain reduction and nerve soothing.

Where the real magic lies with this blend is in its metaphysical properties. I love to massage it into my chest area as it can help empower the solar plexus, an area where our physical and basic needs self joins our emotional and values driven self to help us tune into our authenticity. The rich and warm energy of this blend helps us feel vital and protected with strong boundaries. I especially love this oil when the climate cools and the sun moves further away from us. The essential oils added in safe proportions to this blend were distilled into house or by other smell batch distillers (like Wild Roots Botanicals) and assist in calling in the Sun energy while adding a fun and uplifting scent and extra healthy skin promoting qualities.

How to use:

Dispense an ample amount of oil in hands to massage into skin. Avoid using on a very hot spot of skin, as this oil is warming.
